A scout group in Loughborough have moved into their brand-new scout hut thanks to the support of the Government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
1st Nanpantan Scout Group provides adventurous activities and personal development opportunities for young people aged 4 to 25 in Loughborough and the wider area.
The new scout hut was officially opened at a special event on Saturday, 13 September at the site on Nanpantan Road.
Thanks to the support of many donors including Local Mark Freemasons and many other funding benefactors, the new Headquarters became a reality,
“The building looks fantastic inside and out, and I know that the scouts and many other people in Loughborough and across the borough are going to enjoy these facilities for years to come.”
Carl Travis-Roberts, group scout leader at 1st Nanpantan Scout Group, said:
“This new hut marks a huge milestone for our group. It’s more than just a building, it’s a home for adventure, learning and lifelong memories. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make it happen.”
